How to enable Biometrics (Touch ID / Face ID) on the Medical App

Biometrics were introduced to the Medical App in version 2.0.30 (May 2023) alongside 2FA.
They allow for logging into the Medical app using either Touch or Face ID, depending on the iPad version used.

Please note: The use of biometrics will use the username and password of the last useer to log into the application. Depending on your use case this may not be the same user whose biometrics are stored/used to enter the application. Your biometric details are not linked to your Consentz user. If you are a sole practitioner or use a personal iPad this should not be an issue, however this may lead to confusion if using a shared iPad.

How to enable biometrics

  1. Log into the Medical App as normal
  2. Navigate to the ‘Settings’ tab using the menu at the bottom of the screen
  3. Toggle the ‘Enable Touch / Face ID’
  4. When you are next asked to log in, you can tap the ‘Log in with Face ID & Touch ID’ and the iPad will enter the stored username / password combination
