Number of Appointments

Number of Appointments is a quick way to gauge your overall performance, as it shows how many appointments have been made in a period. This is an indicator of how well your clinic is growing, compared to say the previous period or same period last year.

How it’s Calculated:
Total number of all appointments, regardless of type, in a selected time period.

Useful for:

  • Quickly tracking overall clinic performance.
  • Assessing the success of an advertising campaign – was there an increase in the number of appointments made during and after the campaign?
  • Setting staffing levels – if practitioner diaries are fully booked the clinic most likely needs additional staff.

When are the best times for staff holidays?

Why, when I've had more appointments does my revenue remains the same?
Number of Appointments can only be used as a general guide – it doesn’t tell you the type of appointment or length. If you use it in conjunction with Average Spend per Appointment to give you an better indicate of revenue, but will always be a guide and never an exact figure.
